My name is Shawna, and I’m a passionate photographer, boutique lover, and proud pet enthusiast, dedicated to capturing the beauty of everyday life through my lens.
Photography is more than just a hobby for me — it’s a creative outlet that allows me to tell stories, preserve meaningful moments, and celebrate the beauty found in both big milestones and simple, quiet details.
The name Rustic Rayy holds a special place in my heart. I’ve always loved everything with a rustic, timeless feel, and “Rayy” comes from my middle name, Rayne. Together, the name reflects both my personal style and the heart behind my business.
From a young age, I dreamed of owning my own photography business — creating beautiful images and capturing moments that people can cherish for a lifetime. Alongside photography, I’ve always had a deep love for fashion and expressing individuality through clothing. That passion inspired me to combine the two worlds I love most: photography and a mini boutique, bringing them together under one creative brand.
I’m currently based in Central South Wisconsin, running Rustic Rayy as a small, solo LLC — starting small, dreaming big. My long-term goal is to one day turn my business into a traveling experience by transforming an old vintage camper into a mobile boutique, traveling from town to town, sharing my work, my products, and stories with the small-town communities I meet along the way.
Beyond Rustic Rayy, I also have a deep passion for nursing. I am a full-time medical assistant, and healthcare will always have my heart. Nursing is a calling I will never leave, but Rustic Rayy allows me to share another side of myself — my creativity, my love for connection, and the joy I find in storytelling.
At my core, I’m a small-town girl who loves the outdoors, getting a little dirty, riding the trails on my side-by-side, running the fields with my dogs, and embracing life with both hands. Rustic Rayy is an extension of who I am — real, creative, heartfelt, and rooted in passion.
